Responsibilities

Design, illustrate and prepare printing layouts for information pamphlets, brochures, books, newsletters and other company publications and printed material

Design, illustrate and prepare advertising layouts, billboards, posters, exhibits, flyers, letterheads, logos, certificates, forms and other promotional materials

Prepare sketches, renderings, drawings, cover illustrations and various artwork involving mechanical and freehand drawing and lettering

Coordinate with divisions requesting graphic design or layout work; develop ideas; suggest new or modify existing ideas; demonstrate graphic techniques and advise on techniques and methods to use

Confer with marketing teams and others regarding project specifications such as paper stock, graphic content, layout and media requirements; may create composites and develop concepts depending on needs

Write bid specifications for jobs assigned to outside vendors; coordinate production of material with outside vendors by monitoring jobs in progress, resolving technical problems, proofing material and ensuring deadlines are met

Design and construct visual displays and exhibit; determine materials and equipment best suited for job

Coordinate production; proof typesetting and printing for adherence to specifications; determine if quality standards have been met

Maintain department inventory by ordering or requisitioning graphic art supplies and equipment according to department procedures

Maintain department files of completed assignments; maintain accurate logs of work in progress such as time devoted to project and materials used

Job Requirements

Education Standard Bachelor Degree (3rd or 4th year) Graphic Design, Decoration or art

Experience Standard 3 years of Experience
