Job Description

The Motion Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing captivating motion graphics and animations for various projects, including but not limited to, video advertisements, promotional videos, explainer videos, and social media content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for motion design, a strong understanding of animation principles, and the ability to bring ideas to life through dynamic visuals

 

Responsibilities

Conceptualization Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize and storyboard ideas for motion graphics and animations that align with project objectives and brand guidelines

Design and Animation Create visually stunning motion graphics, animations, and visual effects using industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar tools. Implement animation principles such as timing, pacing, and composition to produce high-quality visuals

Storyboarding Develop storyboards and animatics to outline the flow and sequence of motion graphics/animations. Present concepts and designs to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and revisions as necessary

Asset Creation Design and create graphic assets, illustrations, and visual elements to be incorporated into motion graphics/animations. Ensure consistency in style, branding, and visual identity across all assets. Recruiting Details

Video Editing Edit and composite video footage, audio, and motion graphics to create cohesive and engaging video content. Collaborate with video editors and sound designers to integrate motion graphics seamlessly into video projects

Quality Assurance Conduct quality checks and review final renders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project specifications. Make adjustments and refinements as needed to achieve desired results

Stay Updated Keep abreast of emerging trends, techniques, and technologies in motion graphics and animation. Experiment with new tools and approaches to enhance creativity and productivity

 

Requirements

Education Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia Design, or related field. Additional certifications or coursework in motion graphcs and animation are a plus

Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in motion graphic design and animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of motion graphics projects. Previous experience in video production or post-production is desirable

Software Proficiency Proficient in motion graphics and animation software, such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar tools. Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and compositing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) is a plus

Animation Skills Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and motion dynamics. Ability to create smooth and dynamic animations that effectively convey ideas and engage the audience

Creativity Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts for motion graphics and animations. Strong design sensibility, typography skills, and attention to detail

Communication Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas, storyboard concepts, and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Portfolio A strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics and animation projects, including examples of visual effects, character animation, and motion typography. Portfolio should demonstrate creativity, technical proficiency, and the ability to bring ideas to life through motion
